change printer during printing

Hi everyone,

I need to change the printer that i will be using for printing at runtime. I tried some suggestions but it didnt work(ex. datawindowname.object.datawindow.printer = "printer" has errors). Is PB capable of doing this? some programming language can do this but i dont know with PB. I tried to look in the online help but i did not find any useful topics to help me. I hope somebody can help me without me buying a utility(powerwhizz). is higher version of PB(9 or 10) can do this? I hope guys from sybase can think of a solution.

You can get the names of printers via the PrintGetPrinters method. Then use the PrintSetPrinter method passing the printername of the device you want to send the job to. You probably want to set the printer back after the job as well.
This is in PB version 8.
