I'm a newbie and not sure how to do this - Meridian Opt 11 PBX...thanks

Nortel does not allow a simple change from one type of phone to another. You will have to out the 3901 and rebuild it as a 3903.

This may seem like a stupid question, since I know how to "out" a name, but what is the command for outing the phone? Thanks so much for the quick response.

LD 20

REQ: OUT
TYPE: 3901
TN XX XX XX XX <---Enter in the TN the 3901 is assigned.

AugieDawgie, before outting the phone, you should print out the phone's current configuration.

LD 20
PRT
DNB (Enter the ext. number).... this will give you the TN.

LD 20
PRT
TNB (Enter the TN # from above). and print & save this information.

This way, when you use LD 20 to out TN XX XX XX XX, you can rebuild the phone on the same TN and assign the same keys if needed.
