Hi,

Does anybody knows how to change the path of a TTX file at runtime. My TTX files have a default path of C:\Reports and now we want to change the path to our server . There are around 400 reports and I dont want to change the path opening each of the report.

Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

You don't need the TTX or the path of the TTX at runtime. The TTX is only used at design time. If it is looking for the TTX at runtime then you may not have passed a valid recordset.

Make sure that the recordset you are using specifies the exact list of fields used in the TTX, with the same data types, and specifies them in the exact same order as they appear in the TTX. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

Hi Ken,

Thanks.

Do u mean that path of TTX file does not matter when I run the report and if the .TTX file is not present in the same path when it was created so my report will still work thee same way.

My recordset fields are exactly same way as the TTX fields defined and the order is also same as defined in the TTX.

My question now is If I move my TTX file now from C:\REPORTS to D:\REPORTS then will my report run the same way as it runs now. When i created my reports the file of the TTX was set to C:\REPORTS.

Pls clarify

Thanks a lot once again fot u r help

The TTX is not used at all at runtime. It is a temporary frame to help you design the report. You will only need it if you need to open the report and modify it in the designer, and want to preview the changes. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
