We have version 9 of Crystal Reports. Someone in the department is leaving and because of this he has changed the owner all of his stored procedures from his name to dbo. This has had a knock on effect in that all the crystal reports that were referencing his stored procedures with him as owner are now not working. Anyone know how to fix this problem so that the reports data source can be changed to reference the same procedure but with the new owner of dbo.

Thanks

David

database -> set location.. I do this all the time, i develop under my name and production is under dbo... that way I can mess up the stored proc all I want and the production one is fine until I am ready to update.

Thanks for that Lisa,

What version of Crystal are you using? We tried that already and get an error message saying "Failed to open a rowset" clicking on Ok gives the message "Not supported Details: Cannot obtain error message from server.

Any further thoughts?

Ensure that the user you're using in Crystal to execute the procedure has been granted execute privileges by the new dbo owner. Then set your location, like Lisa says.
