dear all

we are using ips 2000 system in which we have configured three station numbers as emergency need under the code 99. now we want to change the station numbers under this code..
pl help us how to do that.

thanks inadvance

Perhaps I should be a little more leading.....

Is it only Dterms that ring? If it is does it ring on a different key to that which it normally rings on? Do they all ring at once or does it hunt round them?

hi george

we have configured code 99 for emergency stations in our company.. whenever any accident or fire happens in the factory site.. they use to dial 99 from the nearest extention phone so that the rings goes to security(222) safety chief (225) and doctor (229) simultaneously...

now we would like the change extention number under this code..(for example 225 to be changed as 255 (chief security officer)

how to do this in moc pl help

all three extention numbers are analog phones but not dterm

all the 3 extention phones rings simultaneously if anybody dials 99 from any phone... all the three phones are analog phones only

Play safe and do an EC6 (back up to flash) first so that if anything goes wrong you can just reboot and be back to normal. but don't back up to flash after doing the changes until you are happy it is working!

The feature you are using is called group call by pilot number.

First check command 1243 for the setting of the one you are removing (or one of the others in the group) and set the new extension to the same setting.

Then set command 1345 for the new extension to 0

The members are programmed in command 18y (y=0 for the members and y=1 for the pilot/member setting). You will need to set both, you also need to be aware that it is programmed as a chain, by that I mean the first is pointed to the second then the second is pointed to the third and then third to fourth. So if the one you are taking out is in the middle of the chain you have to go to the one before it and point it to the new extension and then point the new extension to where the one you are taking out was. If you are simply adding one to the end, just point the last to the new addition. If you are just deleting one you go to the one before and point it to the one after.

You can list up the present group using command 183 de 99 de then keep pressing de to list up the next. Just to be on the safe side check the last one 183 shows in the group to see if it is pointed back to 99 (not sure whether this needs to be a circular group)if it is and you are adding on to the end make sure you then point the new one back to 99.

Finally in command 57yy where yy = the number you got for the old station in command 1243 you need to enter the new extension number against a location in the group. These numbers range from 00 to 31 so enter the command 57xx de 00 de then step through till you get to the one you are removing (or the first with none if you are adding to the end) then enter the new extension.

And that should do it!

thank u mr george.. as the programme seems to be critical, i will have to try as advised otherwise i will take the help of service personnel here in our place..

you did a great job for my requirement..and i appreciate your help in this way..

thank you once again

ssk

The only reason I treated it as critical is because it is your emergency number and you don't want to find a problem and not have a quick way of recovering in those circumstances.

Try and get hold of a copy of the "Feature Programming Manual" it is a guide you by the nose programming guide and it's great for someone just learning the ropes on this system. If you can't get the IPS issue, the IVS2 issue is almost as good!

fine mr george and iam trying to get it downloaded the manual from the nec site right now...

have a nice day
