Change of fiscal period

We are using accpac. Our fiscal year periods start from Jan and end in Dec. We are going to change periods from August to July. How to change these in ACCPAC? Do I need to create a new company or I can do in the same company?

Creating a new company is the simplest method, otherwise it requires a lot of data surgery.

As Jay says, create a new company. Export GL transactions from the existing company, change the year & period and import into the new company.
