I have CR 10 and have imported an Excel spreadsheet as my database. I have a field that is formatted as a percentage field in the Excel spreadsheet and is showing up as a string field type in CR 10. I would like to create a formula field in CR 10, and am unable to use the field in a mathematical formula because it is formatted as a string. Is there a way to change the field type in CR 10 to Number so that I can use it to create a formula field?

Thank you.

I do not have CR 10 installed anymore. But I believe the VAL() function converts text to numbers.
