Hi Guys,

When the AA is set( night mode), it takes over incoming calls immediately. User calling in doesn't hear any rings, just the AA.

Can this be achieved without AA. We have two main lines, and 1 is set to ring so that receptionist picks up, but the other line doesn't ring on any ones phone( we like it that way). So any one calling into this lines, hears the 4 rings on the handset, then a greeting takes over, and they hear the different options. Is there a way of setting this line so that it immediately goes into the the greeting? So that when people call in it immediately goes into the greeting and they don't hear any rings( like having it in night mode?).

Thanks guys, I hope that made sense.

Change the number of rings on the line in question from 4 to 0. When you chg the ring number to zero it will pick up calls right away like it does in night mode.

Thanks for your reply. We have looked for that setting intently and have not been able to find it. Can you guide me on where to find that option?

THanks

Also if you use caller ID, you will no longer recieve info if the phone does not ring at least twice. Not sure if this pertains to you but just FYI.

Money may not buy you happiness, but in MLB it buys you CHAMPIONSHIPS. (27 and counting). MLB,stands for Major League Baseball for you slower Boston Fans!

Unfortunately this phone is not on a BCM system so it doesn't have Call Pilot. I have to do all the programming on a phone.

I use an m730 norstar phone to program. SO where would I be able to find the number of rings assigned to line? And how do phone sets play into this? I was under the impression the a set could set how many times a line could/would ring on that particular set.

Thanks for all your insight and knowledge you share.

Answering immediate can also be done making the ring on the voice mail DN.

You can have a CallPilot Voicemail without having a BCM. I thought or I assumed that you were working with a CallPilot 100/150. Anyway I guess that you have no other means to connect to your voicemail other then telset programming? Are you at all familiar with using f 983? Do you have Voicemail pswd?

@norstarboy125

yes I am familiar with f 983. I have used it to create/delete mailboxes, etc.

So I have done little programming on the phones, just not quiet sure how all the parts fit together. And yes we do have a voicemail pswd.

Thanks,
Rigo

You need to navigate to greeting tables and find the line that is in question. Do you know what line number in the system the line you would like to setup is?

If this line appears and rings on your telephones you can do a feature *0 then hit the button it appears on to find out which line this is
