Hi,

We have a 3300 running 4.2
I have managed to load a second audio file for embedded Music on Hold.
I cannot for the life of me change the active audio file for the new file.

Thoughts?

You must upload via the System Audio Manager

I was able to get the file up using Syst audio files update.
When I go Embedded Media sources I see the origian SYSTEM MOH and the new file.

How do I make the new file the system MOH ?

I cannot say for sure, uploading should automatically activate the new file unless you are not uploading to the system MOH source and are instead uploading to a different source. The system supports up to 64 separate sources. What are you uploading as?

system moh is ID 0
I have uploaded it to ID 1 because we only want to change for a couple of weeks and then go back to the original music.
I don't have the original music so I didn't want to blow it away. I thought I could load file to ID 1 and then activate it as the system MOH.

Make sense?

Well, there's your problem.

If you have the tenanting option in your licensing you might, and I stress might, be able to assign source 1 and MOH for the stations. Source zero will still be active for devices that cannot be tenanted so this is far from a solution but might suffice as a temporary measure.

A better measure might be to FTP into the 3300 and grab the original source file and then replace it.

that would work but I have looked in ftp and there I dont see the wav files (or any files from the past 3 days) there are only a handful of directories... you know where they are off the top of your head?

They're stored in the /vmail directory I believe.

They will be converted to .vox

thanks.. took quite a while to find the file (actually never found it but I had to cd to /vmail/c/msg or something like that. We found a backup TAR and were able to extract it from there as a out file. renamed it vox and opened it in WavePad but is still sounded wonky. Oneof the other admins found the original wav so we just crushed the existing one.
It works. The other problem we had (in case anyone googles) is I had to use IE8 with java 1.6.0.1 which is no longer available from the java site (that I could find anyway).

Thanks for help.. much was learned :)
