change month from number to value

Please help-

I have created a crosstab report and would like to change the month number being displayed to the actual word value.


I think I need to use the Totext in the formula editor but can't find the exact syntax.

Use

Create a formula and use
MonthName(month number )

MonthName(5) = May

That didn't work

MonthName(5) =May it is looking for something else. Do you know what else is needed?

It should not be looking for anything else.
What version are you using?

Also, try this: MonthName(8,False)

I am running version 8.5

When I use the MonthName(8,False) formula I get a message when I run the report of:
A crosstab column has been specified on a non-recurrng field.

And it returns nothing. Do you know why this happens?
