Change Minimum Credit Card Purchase in Aloha EDC 1

I'm trying to figure out how to change the minimum credit card purchase amount in Aloha 5.3.29 Right now it is set at $1 and customers have requested we lower the amount and my manager has asked me to do this. How do I change the minimum?

I don't think you can change the minimum dollar amount for edc. I know there isn't a min in the aloha manager or edc manager. I checked a couple of edc.ini and Aloha.ini files on a site and although I didn't see any variables for changing the minimum you can check your ini files.

The aloha ini file is in \aloha\data\aloha.ini
and the edc.ini file is in \aloha\edc\edc.ini

These files can be edited with notepad.
browse the fields and see if you can see anything related to min auth.

Insert EDCNOFLOORLIMIT=True variable in the ALOHA.INI if it does not exist already. If the EDCFLOORLIMIT is in the ALOHA.INI already change the variable to TRUE. This will allow charges FROM THE FOH for transactions less tha 1.00 and greater than .01.

Make this change in the ALOHA.INI file located in aloha\newdata. After the change refresh data to copy this change to the data directory.

posrescue - thanks for the advice. I did check for the EDCNOFLOORLIMT and found it set to False. I changed it to True but it still will not accept transactions for less than a dollar. The minimum floor limit is set to 0.00 and the max is set to 1000.00.

Is there someplace in the EDC.INI file I need to make changes?

I think the one dollar minimum is coded.

I found out through Aloha that this version of Aloha is coded for the dollar amount. Thanks all for you help.

I would like to begin with stating that i called aloha they "fixed" my problem i paid them close to $1000 and i still have the same problems, which they refuse to look at or fix without wanting my C.C. information so they can continue to bill me!!!

1. Main fileserver in office BOH resets
2. Main system would reset and cause an error on POS in dinning room.
3. Currently the POS system is running in redundancy so i can make it through the day without reseting or errors.
4. Aloha is not opening properly on my main file server.
5. When it would reset usually around 7-8 p.m. or 4. a.m when running automatic EOD.

Start a new thread with a specific problem with your file server, this seems to be the issue with your system.
This has nothing to do with this thread.

onarun, did you not read Bo's post? Your file server issue has nothing to do with minimum credit card purchases in EDC. Please start a new thread.
