Hello Techies,

I have Excel on my OSX Tiger. The Mac is networked with my Windows XP PC. When I open the Mac Excel app., the screen format is different from Windows. But when I open Windows files on the Mac, it's a perfect interpretation. Because I prefer the Windows screen, is it possible to configure the Mac Excel to default to a Windows Excel format?

Thanks

when you say format do you mean the screen defaults to the Page Layout View rather than the 'Normal' view?

if so then you can change this in
Excel -> Preferences -> View -> Preferred State for new sheets -> Normal.

I believe that this setting will also stick for sheets that do not have the view specified in their metadata.

If you mean something else, can you clarify?

You hit the nail right on the head. Thanks.
