I changed the ip to one of my freebsd, from x.x.x.26 to x.x.x.27. It also has a registered domain name.

When i ping from outside the local network to foo.foo.com
everything is ok. It pings and it resolves the ip to x.x.x.27

But when i ping from inside the network(from an fd2) to foo.foo.com
it doesn't ping and it resolves the ip to x.x.x.26(which is not valid)
Somehow, it things, that foo.foo.com is still on x.x.x.26

Why could this be happening?

You are probably a victim of either:
1) Change not reflected in non-expired cache locally,
2) Static entry in a 'hosts' file
3) Static entry in a local named you use for lookups

For #1, you simply need to give it a little more time. Changes do get reflected right away once you make changes on your authoritative DNS servers.
