Change IP addy on a Jet Direct 170X 1

I have a HP Jet direct 170X connected to a printer.

That printer is setup on a Server with a Network Port - IP address

We are changing our Subnet from x.x.2.0/24 to x.x.3.0/24 - I will have to change all the Printer IP addy's on the Server and the change the addy on the Jet direct card.

How can I change the Ip address from x.x.2.220 to x.x.2.220

The Printer isnt a HP Printer - just a HP Jetdirect card - I hope this is the right forum

You can change it using the Jetdirect 170x embedded webserver. Just use a webbrowser and type in the IP address to the jetdirect. You should be able to change IP/subnet/gateway on the box here.

download HP Web Jetadmin from HP and you can lookup the jetdirect by its IP or MAC.

On the flip side I'm sure the CD that came with your jetadmin has the tool on it to change/setup the IP address on it.

The tool that came with the jetdirect is an old version of HP Install Network Printer Wizard. This could also be used, but it really is doing it the hard way.
