Hi,

I would like to know if it's easy to change an ip address onto a DC ?

I know how to chnage it :) but what i have to prepare to do it ?

Many thanks for you help ?

Is your DNS AD Integrated? If so then not really a problem.

Change the IP. Then run each of the following at a command prompt:
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS
IPCONFIG /REGISTERDNS
NET STOP NETLOGON & NET START NETLOGON

Be sure to alter your NAT if necessary too. If you have IIS onthe server then I would take a look at your web site configurations before making the change so you knwo what else you may need to do. If this server's IP is being pushed out through DHCP Scope options, be sure to update those.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Hi,

The DNS AD is integrated.

The main goal is i have to prepare some DC servers for our subsidiaries... i would like to prepare them completely before sending them.

I install DNS (AD integrated), DHCP, IIS (for intranet mirror site), that's all !

Many thanks for your help.
Regards.
