We have two HP LJ2100 tha have the IP address of our old network in the 600N network card. I want to add these printers to our current network. I have been searching HP site and Google all morning trying to figure out how to change these. The printers would be installed on our Windows 2003 server for access throughout the network. As this printer does not have a LED display it is hard to tell how to configure. The manual is useless.

Can someone point me to directions on how to do this. Thanks in advance

Do a cold reset to reset the network card.

To perform a cold reset, turn the printer power off, then press and hold the JOB CANCEL button. Turn the printer power back on and after all the LEDs come on release the JOB CANCEL button.

Print the configuration page, press and release the GO and JOB CANCEL buttons simultaneously when the printer is ready. Check if the printer has got a ip address from dhcp server.

If the jetdirect card has got a new IP adress. just enter the ip in a web browser to connect to the jetdirects embedded web server to change ip address from there.

You can also use the HP install network printer wizard to configure your printer:

In this application you can connect to the printer using the jetdirect cards hardware address and the configure your own ip settings.
