Hi All,

I have a SCO 3.0 box I need to change the IP address on. We have a legacy app that connects to it via Telnet. I need to change it from our current address scheme of 192.233.3.1 to 192.168.10.1 both on a 255.255.255.0 mask. I inherited the old internal address range and am changing to DHCP for the LAN and want to have a normal private address range.

As I said, all we do with the box is telnet to it, so it's host file, etc, shouldn't be an issue (as far as I know). I just need to change the address so our workstations can find it in our new address scheme.

Thanks!

Hi

I think that the command you need is ifconfig, if you do a man on it it will tell you all about it.

We use sco 5 here and that is what we used a couple of months ago.

Hope this helps.

Hi Ken,

Yeah, that was the command. Fortunatly, my assistant wound up doing the change. Talk about weird keyboarding to navigate around!

Thanks VERY much for your help with this!
