We have change our internet line from 128k leased line to 512k leased line. And we using Cisco Router 2500 for the current leased line. So, do we need to configure our router? or the current setting can be used. Thanks. Please help me ASAP. Thanks again.

You might want to enter the "bandwidth 512" command on the serial interface facing the leased line. This way, the "show interfaces" command would reflect the correct values. (ie. load) Orlando Palomar Jr

that's basically it really... although the bandwidth interface-level command is locally significant [has no bearing on the bandwidth capacity allowable], it is useful if u configure routing protocols such as BGP.. and also for administration reasons..

good luck..

If you use external CSU/DSU(which is common in 2500 series), you don't really need to configure in router.
