Hello everybody-

I have recently cancelled my Earthlink account and have uninstalled and I thought everything was gone, But when I am online the icon for Earthlink is still in the corner of the window and it is still saying " Internet Explorer provided by Earthlink". I sign on through a VPN for working at home and I can't get connected until I get rid of Earthlink because it is not my connection online anymore. Where do I change the provider? What am I missing?

Thanks in advance
Taylor

I guess you know if you're using VPN then you need an Internet connection anyway, what is your alternative to Earthlink? What do you click on to get onto the Internet to connect via VPN?

As far as the 'provided by' this is just branding and can be changed in the Registry to anything you want.

I am now using NetZero. And now I know that it is just where I got Internet Explorer from that the icon is still there. Duh. Some reason NetZero will not let me use another IP number to connect to a private server. I guess the only alternative to go ahead and get Roadrunner. Thanks for the help.
