Hi all,
I am using Crystal Report 9 and Oracle 9i. I have a report based on stored procedure and when i created this procedure, i had two parameters ,so Report is currently accepting two parameters from user. So far so good. Now I have changed procedure to accept entirely different parameters [those two parameters are no longer existing], and When i try to do a "verify Database", I am getting query engine error [illegal variable name or number] which is correct as procedure is expecting some parameters but report is passing different ones. My questions is how do i get my report to see these new parameters and update them?

Thanks for any suggestions

The verify database should accomplish this, owever there may be something about the design that's the issue, so I'd try opening it as a datasource for a blank report and see if that works.

Crystal is very persnickity about Oracle SPs, you're probably aware of the whitepaper and connectivity issues.

Synapsevampire,
Thanks for response. I just found that it might be a patch issue. I am using CR version 9.2.3.1289 and got this problem but I tried this in CR10 and it worked just fine. I also tried this with earlier version [ earlier than cr 9.2.3.1289] and it worked fine. Looks like this particular verison has a patch issue or some problem [i have no clue].

Thanks,
