I am trying to cut and paste articles in Word into a Publisher document to form chapters in a book.

I find when I do this the headings are pasted successfully but the body of text is converted from 12 points to 10 points. I have both Publisher 98 and Pubisher 2003 and the same thing happens in both programs.

I want the final document article bodies to be 12 points.

I find when I select text after pasting and convert it to 12 points the end of the article that has been autoflowed is lopped off.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any help you are able to give.

Try doing a Paste Special instead of Paste.

I'm not sure what you means by your comment about being lopped off. If it doesn't fit, you need to either make your text box bigger or add another one. That is assuming you want to keep that size font.

I tried "Paste Special" in Publisher 98

The same thing happened again.

I also have Publisher 2003 but it doesn't have
"Paste Special"

Any more suggestions?

Thanks for any help you are able to give.

Pub 2003 has a Paste Special. Edit - Paste Special, not a right click function. Which of the paste special options are you selecting?

Sorry. I goofed. Publisher 2003 does have "Paste Special".

I tried all the options under "Paste Specail" in both Publisher 98 and Publisher 2003. Same old problem.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks for any help you are able to give.

Thanks for the great info!

It will take me a while to do what you recommend because my copy of Publisher 2003 (which is the version of Publisher the site you suggest in point #1 to change the default font size) is on a laptop and I don't have Wi-Fi access at home.

As to point #2 I'm not sure what I meant.

Also I have a plumbing leak in my house which I have to attend to first.

I haven't given up yet!

Problem solved!

I was playing with Publisher 98 and figured out what I was doing wrong.

Initially, after pasting into Publisher 98 the font size for the body of each chapter of the book was 10 points. I simply used "Highlight Entire Story" and changed the font size to 12 points.

It worked!

Thanks for all your help.

You've been great!

I'll definitly use forums again!
