We want to change server date. Whenever we change it by set time command it changes time but year of date comes 1988 again & again.

I suppose it's a Y2K problem.

Pl gv any solution.

Thanks

Is your date set correctly in the BIOS? What Timesync options are configured in TIMESYNC.CFG? -----------------------------------------------------
"It's true, its damn true!"

I am unable to find the file timesync.cfg.

Actually I am a developer and working on Unix server.
I am not fully aware of the concepts of Novell Server.

TIMESYNC.CFG should either be in SYS:SYSTEM or SYS:ETC. How old is your hardware? -----------------------------------------------------

Hardware is around 10 years old.

I am unable to get timesync.cfg file anywhere.

I am simply typing command set time . Problem is only in Year. I suppose it is Y2k bug.

I don't know how to set date by BIOS setup.

Thanks
Preeti
