Howdy folks, I have an issue that's been raking me over the coals for a few hours now. Basically I'm trying to export an access report to an excel spreadsheet. The issue I'm having is excel is very picky about the format of the data. In the report, I have one group header and a detail band. Within the detail band are several fields that must appear on top of eachother to illustrate a particular calculation. The problem is excel indents each one of these fields when I import the data source, because it wants to give each column a header.

I would like to take the multiple columns that are supposed to be in the detail band, and get excel to recognize them as such. Is this possible?

Good luck. Access to Excel is terrible for reports for some reason...I've had a little better luck in the past by exporting first to a .rtf file and then importing that file into Excel instead of the straight Access to Excel. Hope that helps.

Kevin
