My default font is Arial. When I create a new document, create a text box, and type, Arial is used. However, if I select all of that text and choose "no paragraph style" from the styles palette, it switches me to Times TT Roman.

Any idea how to change this?

...launch indesign, get the paragraph style palette open (without a new document created), double click the default listed and change the basic character formats to a font of your choosing...
