I have come across a problem which sounds pretty simply but I can't get a handle on how to do it. A user of mine has changed the font/size of the entries in his folder list under Outlook 2000 and can't remember what he did. Now the font/size is too small to read comfortably. Does any one know how to change the font/size of the folder list under Outlook 2000???? assistance is greatly appreciate.

If I am not mistaken, you are talking about the folders in the folder list view. I believe the font size is controlled by the Windows display properties. There is nothing in Outlook that controls this part of Outlook. I would check the windows display properties and see what preferences were setup.

The only other item I can think of is a damaged Tahoma font which is what Outlook uses by default as the font. Again unless the preferred font has been changed in the Windows display properties.

Are the icons in the pane small too? If so, the other option is, if you right click on the folder pane (not on the folder itself), you can change the size of the icons, which reduces the size of the font too.

Dreamboat, I think I should get some sleep. Its 4am over here, and wouldn't you know it, I thought I would log in to Tek-tips. I must get out more!

The Folder List font is controled by the Windows Icon font.

Right-click on the Desktop choose "Properties"
From Desktop Properties choose "Appearance"
Under "Item" select "Icon"
The font you select here will change the font in the Outlook Folder list.

thanks tylercolbyhill that was it. Thanks for all who gave input.
