Hi there,

Happy new year to all!

For added security I would like to change the filename of names.nsf to 123names.nsf(on my web mail server only)
I thought all I had to do was edit notes.ini and add the line names=123names.nsf.
However when users try to logon, via web mail, http continues to look for names.nsf.

Any ideas how to get http looking for 123names.nsf

Regards,

Are you using R5 or newer? If 'Yes', you should rather use Directory Assistance for secondary directories lookups instead of the 'NAMES' setting...

This of course is from R5 and later. If your'e on R4, ignore the above and below...

IF R5 or newer, you can edit the DA to include primary and secondary directories, set up who's trusted and so on. Open Domino Administrator help and search for 'Directory Assistance', follow the steps to set it up. You will need to restart the server after setup. Have a look into Directory Cataloger too while your at it, in R6 it also has an option for an extended DirCat.

Other alternatives is also to reconfigure the web server to use Single Server login, and create a DOMCFG database for customized login, where you also can override design as you like.

The best is actually to search through the Domino Admin help to see if you find what you need there; There is a few different alternatives described, including the 2 mentioned here...
