Change File Type

I would like to open some powerpoint files in Photoshop. Every time that I try, I get a message that says that photoshop cannot open this type of file. How can I change these files from .ppt to something that Photoshop can read. I appreciate the help.

In Powerpoint just Save As, and choose either jpeg or TIF for the slide(s) you want. Then you can open either format in Photoshop.
