change field width at run time

Hi all
in my matrix report i am getting the column headings from a table field but i want these report column widths different
Like my table field width is 80 then the default column width in report columns will be 80 but i want the column width displayed in the matrix report should be of 10,20 ,80 size width

Make vertical elasticity of the fields to be variable, the horizontal elastisity to be fixed. Then stretch fields horizontally whatever size you like.

My row heading are 1,2 ,3 which are from one vc_row column of table

column heading Code_a,Activity are from vc_columnn of table the width of this column is 70 in my table

for Code_a column in my report i want it to be 10 size
i tried vertical-variable and horizontal-fixed on my cell value fields and on column field aslo

But can not change the width of the column code_A extra right space i tried Rtrim function on format trigger the value is trimmed but the extra space is not deleted.

Rtrim function is not for format trigger. Create calculated field in the group you have the column and calculate the field with Rtrim function. Use this calculated field for columns.

The actual problem is

In matrix the repeating frame repeats for every column.And i have 2 fields for cell values which will appear for each column in matrix report.But one on them will be null.So i can hide the cell value which is null and appear only one cell value for each coulmn.But the extra right side space to cell value is because of repeating frame.I can not change the size of repeating frame at run time.

If there is a way to change the size of repeating frame at run time then if i change repeating frame size of one column then the other column size should not get affected

I have got mad about this problem
