We are using Merlin Messaging - release 1 (1.19).

We need to change the "target" extension of one of the "Selector Codes" in the Day Main Auto Attendant.

Currently, if someone dials 5, it goes to extension 123.

We need to change that to another extension (to be decided).

I am looking through my documentation and do not see where - or how - to change this (Merlin Messaging System User's Guide).

Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance!

Dial your voicemail
0# - System Administrator
Password-#
9 - Programming
3 - Auto Attendants
(Auto Attendant Number, 1 through 4)
1=Day/2=Night
6 - Modify
Dial the selector code
9 - YES, I want to change it
1 - Selector Code Transfer
Dial the Extension Number that you want to target, and then #
*# - No more selector code changes
# - Keep the current recording
**9 - Goodbye

Thank you for the clear and concise instructions!

Is it much more difficult to point the Selector Code to a submenu?

Just listen to the options once you have selected the selector code. Remember that you must also create the submenu, and the submenu has its own selector codes that must be programmed.

Right.

The submenu exists so I am OK there.

Treat sub menus like auto attendants with the difference being that sub menus do not have zero as an option for selection.

So choose a sub menu and record the greeting then adjust the selector code then finally point to the sub menu from the AA selector code.
