Change extension but keep old extension

I have a user that is now working from home. Her extension is 3116. She wants to keep her extension pointing to her voicemail but I have someone sitting at her desk. How do I keep 3116 but change the extension at the desk to another extension without affecting the 3116 extension.

dial 3116, it goes to mail

Remember to add 3116 as an extenion DN in the mailbox so it knows where to go when it gets to mail.

i thought 3116 was the primary and had a mb? otherwise why does she want to keep the number

Can I put a different DNB on those keys? 3116 does have a mailbox.

sure, as long as 3116 is no longer on a phone, the acd portion will handle that number, freeing up the set for a new user
