My client wants to change one of their eDirectory container names from "A" to "B" to reflect organizational name change. What issues should I be concern about? Thanks in advenace for any info anyone may provide.

It really depends on what is in the container. Is it your top level? what types of objects are in this container? While technically it's not a big thing to do, it will inevitably have an impact on end users because their context's will change. This is also true for anything else that may authenticate to or reference the directory. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, maybe we could start a brainstorm here..

And wow, "A" and "B" are interesting company names..
