Change e-mail address in WSS

Besides doing it in MS exchange server....Once the user is created in WSS 2.0, is there a way to change the user's e-mail address? I tried creating a user in the domain with a different e-mail addy, but it just defaults it to what the exchange server has. Thanks

Hi,

In WSS have you tried to go to Site Settings --> Go to site Administeation. Under Site Collection Administration choose View Site Collection user information. You can there edit properties for a user, you should be able to edit the email address there.
