i have a bcm 50, not sure of the release. i have to downgrade cutomer frm pri to 6 pots trunks.

do i have to set dip switches on the bcm 50 for the right bus and offset?

will my bcm 400 pdf manual on the cd basically provide same dipswitch settings rules for a bcm 50?

I maintain several bcm 1000 and 400s 3.6 and 4.0s. Can I use the same element manager to log into the bcm 50?

Leave dipswitches in the on position. Yes u can use the same em. If it doesn't work download em from the 50.

No. you get the main unit and 2 expansions that you put cards in with all switches on and in the EM you tell what is in what exp. Usually Module 5 and 6. No Off sets it is different.

I recommend you contact your line provider and ensure the lines are disconnect supervised. if not, you might run into problems.
