Change drive letter

Hello! How can I change the drive letter from, say E: to C:
E: has a boot partition and cant be changed through 'disk management' concole.

If you're using 2k/XP, as you say diskmgmt.msc does not let you change system drive letter - for good reason. You need a host of registry changes too.

tells you how - with a warning. If you really need 2k/XP to be on C:, a backup and clean reinstall is best bet.

Letter Assigner is for 9x/ME machines - can't remeber if it allows system drive letter change - but if it does, again there's more to it.
