change Domain

one script was change my domain to PORTUGAL1 for PORTUGAL1.sco.com
I want to cut sco.com,I can't change it using netconfig why???

I would first check the basics. /etc/default/tcp, /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf.
check these files for a matching domain name.
