change disk from unavailable to available

new to hpux

the CE replaced a failed disk last night now it's showing unavailable.....what do i do to make it available again?

i might add it was a mirrored disk that was hot swappable

replace and then use cfgrestore to recover the LVM data.

Does the replaced disk show up in ioscan -fnC ? In the ioscan output, S/W State and H/W Type show up as CLAIMED & DEVICE. If Yes!

Execute
1. vgcfgrestore -n /dev/vgGroup /dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ
2. vgsync vgGroup.
