Can anybody please tell me how to disable and/or change the image presented at the logon screen from my Terminal Server clients?

It is currently too large and takes a considerable amount of time to display when they are logging in from a dial-up connection.

Thanks!

If you look in Group Policy there is a setttig in the Terminal Services area called "Enforce removal of remote desktop wallpaper" that should do it.

Computer Config - Admin Templates - Windows components - Terminal services.

Oh sorry i misread your post, the desktop wallpaper is a common problem. I'm not sure how to remove or change the logon box i'm afraid.

You mean you want to change the logonbox image?

If so google for msgina hacking

The following works:

1. Logon to the terminal server as administrator.
2. Click Start -> Run, type "regedit" in the text box, and click OK.
3. Locate and select the following Registry subkey:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
4. Select the Wallpaper value and choose String from the Edit menu.
5. In the String field, clear all the contents and set the value as (none).

6. Exit Registry Editor to save the changes.
