I am doing backups of an Oracle 8.1.7.4 database using RMAN and Netbackup. I would like to delete all references of obsolete backup sets and backup pieces from the control file and the recovery catalog as well as deleting them from the media manager. I can get a report of these by doing a "report obsolete" from RMAN, however, I can not discover any way to achieve the desired results except to do them one at a time: ie, "change backupset primary_key delete;". Is there a more efficient way of doing this?
