We encourage our users to type CTRL-F to bring up the search dialog and type in what name or whatever they need to find. The problem is that some users don't understand the default of 'whole field' and I would like to change it to 'Any Part'.

Two questions: 1) is there an easier way for the user to search for things? I added a search button on the form and it brings up the same dialog 2) If not - do you know how to modify the default settings in code somehow?

Thanks in advance
Scott

With your command button, try the SendKeys.

Alt + "H" selects the "Match:" drop down.
"A" changes it to "Any part...."
Alt + "N" returns the focus to the "Find What:" field.
