Is there anyway to change the default Print Method in Acrobat 5? For example, when I have a PDF open and go to print it, is there any way to change the Print Method (under PostScript Options) from defaulting to Level Language 2 to Level Language 1? I'd like the setting to always be Level Language 1.

Thanks in advance.

I have 6, not 5 (and had 4 before that.

In 6 you can go to the print box and click on Advanced. You can specify language level, and other stuff. You can then Save As a print preset. If 5 has that advanced button, try clicking it and see if there's a Save As on the subsequent window.

Thank you. I attempted this on Acrobat 5, but there is no Save As option on the subsequent window. Were you able to do this on Acrobat 4?

If you are on Windows, try this:

Go to Start>Settings>Printers (or equivalent) to open the list of printers on your computer. Highlight Distiller and right click, then choose Properties. Go to the Postscript tab and click 'Advanced'. The Postscript Language Level can now be chosen.
