Change default desktop settings

I'd like to change some desktop settings (colors, screen saver, ...) in a way that they become the default for all users that are created afterwards.

I already tried registry keys like "HKEY_USERS\.Default\..." but unfortunately I wasn't successful.

If anyone knows how to manage this, please describe it by means of a simple example (e.g. desktop background color).

To do this, you need to use a MANDATORY PROFILE. Look it up on microsofts site or in the Win2K referance kit for all the info you will need to do this.
