Change Data Source for copied report 1

Not sure if this is feasible, but I thought I'd ask.

Is it possible to take a report, copy it to a different name, copy the data source query to a different name, alter it and then redirect the copied report's data source to the new altered query?

This is the exact question I was going to ask. Eager to see if there is a good answer.

This is what I found:
In report design view, go to Edit > select Report
Then go to View> Properties

On the data tab you can select a different query for 'Record Source'
