I have an application that displays a lot of reports via the web using the built in crystal reports in Visual Studio 2005. I am moving my data from a sql server 2000 machine to a 2005 machine. I can easily change my web config to point to the new server. I don't think my crystal reports are that easy.

Does anyone know a way to change the sql server name embedded in the connection property of the reports?

there is a way to do this. google "crystal reports for .net change connection string at runtime".

As an alternative to linking your reports directly to a database. Use custom objects or datatables as your data source. this way you can change databases without affecting your reports.
