change connection name

Hi,

i have 15 tasks in a dts package that puuls data from an oracle database.

currently, all the tasks appear in the design view of the package as 'microsoft oledb provider for sql server 14' etc.

i went into disconnected edit and changed the name for one of these but when isave the package, the new name does not show up.

do i need to do something else?

You need to delete think about delete and add with you new name.

hi dr sql.

what i did in the end was double click on the connection and change it to a new connection.

i did not choose to delete existing transformations so it worked fine for me.

very simple really.
