Does anyone know how I can change the company name on a cheque? We do accounting for XX different companies but we use the same cheques for all the companies, it just prints the account number & name that it prints for each company.

Currently one of the companies did a name change from XYZ Company to Acme Company.

Where do I go in ACCPAC to change this?

I tried that, that only changes the Company Name. What I want to change is the name printed on the Cheque. For example when I open the company at the Start of ACCPAC, it is referred to as Internal company A, but on the cheques it prints out XYZ Company and we have undergone a name change and now I want it to print ABC Company on the cheques.

Further ideas?

Edit the check form in Crystal reports.

How do I do that?

Sorry if its a basic question but I've never been a great Crystal Reports user.

Wow, I'll say.

1. Start Crystal Reports
2. File/Open, Browse to that check form
3. Change the text

Ok my real problem then is finding a needle in a haystack. The problem is we have about 40 companies that we use. The data is on 2 different servers.

The other problem is I don't know what I'm looking for exactly. I tried looking through the folders but couldn't find what I was looking for. I want to try do a search but I also don't know what to search for.

Would you happen to know what the check form would be called in Crystal Reports? For example, Microsoft Excel files are all .xls. It may be rudementary but at least it may start me in the right direction.

Assuming a pre-printed form, it could APCHECK.RPT, or APCHK01.RPT. But you could also have a custom name like APCHKABC.RPT.

All you have to do is generate a check batch with one check, print it, and look in the upper right-hand corner of the screen just before you actually send it to the printer or the screen. That's the crystal form name.
