change color of text box

Is it possible to change the border or color of the text box i tired but it didn't work

What is a text box? Surely, it can be done by applying style to it:

<tag style="color: red; border: 2px dotted blue;"></tag>

Bare in mind that if by text box you mean one of the form controls, the styling might not be applied by all browsers across all OSes. Check here for different rendering of form controls:
