Change Caller ID

Hello I have a phone system it says Meridian 1
I need to change the name on the caller Id not sure how I used the instructions below but when I got the DN part it just kept asking me for the DN I thought the DN was the Extension number? how do I get the DN??

Changing the Display name
To change a name alway out the old name then insert the new name.
LD 95
REQ: OUT
TYPE: NAME
CUST:"0" DN: 5555
Return through to the "REQ" prompt.
Then add the new name:
REQ: NEW
TYPE: NAME
CUST:"0" DN: "The extension" i.e. 5555
NAME: "The name" i.e. BOB JONES
You can add more names at the next "DN" prompt

I think you are referring to the name that can be assigned to a DID number?. If so then go into LD 49 to print off the CURRENT IDC tables. You need to find out what tables are being used and they start from "0"

i.e.

LD 49
REQ PRT
TYPE IDC
CUST 0
DCNO

DCNO 0

SDID YES
IDGT CDGT
3500 3555

The example above shows that table "0" is used. Now do as you did before and go into LD 95

I.E.

LD 95
REQ prt
TYPE name
CUST 0
CPND_LANG
PAGE
DN
ENTR
DCNO 0
IDC all
SHRT yes

3500 3555 Main Number

In this example DID number 3500 was given a name. All you need to do is to either OUT the name using the same method in LD 95, but with REQ OUT etc, and then use REQ NEW etc to add in a new name or try REQ CHG to name the name instead.
