We have a Merlin Magix system, a PRI which is our main phone number on which we have all incoming and outgoing long distance. Our local outgoing goes via POTS lines. We would like to have the phone number of the POTS line used for outgoing local to be masked and display our main number or at the very least display no number but our company name. Is this possible?

TIA for any help.

Your telco has control over what number displays from any 'copper' trunk/line. You can ask them if they'll use your main number as the CPN for the POTS lines, but most won't.

There is not a way to have just a name show up, but mask the number. If you block callerID with the * code, it blocks both.

I was told it was something to the extent of a FCC or PUC violation to do that. It is such as fraud because the phone call isn't really coming from your BTN. On a PRI or T1 circuit, I guess it really doesn't matter. If you have a CLEC who either doesn't know better or you are in with, they will usually be willing to accomidate your needs.
