I had created a form using the "form wizard" and used their "style". I would now like to change the background color of my form, but does not allow me to do it.

Any suggestions ?

Could there be a background picture? It will show up as (bitmap) on the Format tab of the Property Sheet for the form. If there is a picture, remove it to see the background color.

I dont think there is a background picture. I even checked the properies, and there is no bitmap image. For some reason if you create a form using "form wizaed" it does not allow you to change the background, as compared to changing the color when created using the design view.

I have tried creating a form using the wizard, but in my copy of Access (2000), all the styles offered include a bitmap, except the standard style. Which version are you using?

I have access 2003. I tried looking for a bitmap in the properties, but could not find any. I am sure there must be some way to change the color. What do u think ?

How about choosing Auto Format (format menu, form design view) and selecting Standard from the choices of format offered? [ponder]

Just a wild guess, but background color is set by section, so are you using the detail section to set back color?

Remou - Your idea worked. I choose auto-format, then selected standard, and was able to change the background color.
Thanks !
