All the forms within my database are auto centered and resized. This leaves the background of the Database window, (Dark Grey), showing around the outside of my forms.

What I am asking is, can you change the color of the background of the access database window?

Why...?? I hear you all shout.

Well because, I am using an opacity module in my database which changes the opacity of certain forms in certain scenarios. The dark grey background of the window clashes with some of my forms when i do this.

I could change the colors of the form, but would prefer to tinker with the background color (stuborness!!!)

Is it possible?

Thanks, in advance.

The colour of the background window is set by the user as part of windows customization, so you cannot change it without affecting all Windows. You can minimize the database window. There are FAQs on doing this.

Thanks Remou
I can now change the application background via the control panel > display > Appearance menu.
Following on from that, if I change the color, obviously, it would only be applicable to me.
Is there a way of setting the color, using code, when the database is opened on any pc?

Can you just run the app over a blank form/splash screen that you control the BackColor property with VBA? It might look OK if it was maximized to cover the db window...
